In Flatloom, nothing happens.
But unlike Equilibria, this is not because difference is neutralized. It is because difference cannot form.
Flatloom is a world where there is only one ontological texture. Not one thing, not one substance, but one indistinguishable mode of being that repeats without variation.
There is no space as extension. But there is omnipresence without region. Every presence is identical to every other, not in property, but in ontological character. No configuration can stand out, because nothing can be configured.
Time does not exist. Yet uniformity does. Not persistence of a state, but impossibility of variation. There is no other way reality could be.
Causality does not operate. Nothing equalizes anything else, because nothing ever diverges. There is nothing to correct.
There is no life. But there is a kind of ontological suffocation. A sameness so complete that even the category of environment loses coherence.
There is no intelligence. But there is perfect redundancy without awareness. Not repetition, but indistinguishability everywhere.
Death in Flatloom is not ending. It is indistinction. To “die” is to become what everything already is.
The absolute limit of Flatloom is total identity: a reality in which even the idea of difference has no referent.
Flatloom is the world where nothing happens, because nothing could ever be otherwise.
