In Levelmere, nothing happens. But unlike Samefield, this is not because nothing can be distinguished. It is because whatever is distinguished immediately flattens into the same ontological level. Levelmere is a world of minimal relief. There is no space as extension. But there is surface without depth. Presences can be faintly outlined, but never raised. Any contour that could form is immediately pressed into levelness. Time does not exist. Yet leveling does. Not as process, but as condition. Whatever exists exists without height, without intensity, without ontological elevation or depression. Causality does not operate. Nothing flattens anything else. But nothing can retain contour. The domain itself admits only low relief. There is no life. But there are ghost-forms: barely distinguishable presences that never thicken into environments, never sharpen into identities, never persist as structures. There is no intelligence. But there is near-salience without awareness. Not perception, ...
This surface marks a division. On this side, appearance is not the same operation it is elsewhere. No further declaration is given.
