In Lagmere, nothing happens.
But unlike Slackworld, existence is not merely loose. It is late to itself.
Lagmere is a world where presence never coincides with its own condition. Whatever exists exists slightly behind its own being. Not after in time, not displaced in space, but ontologically out of phase.
There is no space as extension. But there is misplacement without location. Presences are not here or there. They are always just-not-where-they-are.
Time does not exist. Yet lag does. Not delay toward a future, but structural trailing of being behind itself. Existence never arrives at its own actuality.
Causality does not operate. Nothing causes lag. But nothing can escape it. Non-coincidence is primitive.
There is no life. But there are phase-fields where any coherence that could resemble organism or environment is permanently behind itself.
There is no intelligence. But there is disjunction without awareness. Not confusion, but ontological lateness.
Death in Lagmere is not ending. It is falling irretrievably behind. To “die” is to become so lagged that even non-coincidence collapses.
The absolute limit of Lagmere is terminal misalignment: a reality where existence can no longer even trail itself because there is no longer a “self” to trail.
Lagmere is the world where nothing happens, because nothing is ever where it is.
