In Residome, nothing happens.
But unlike Feedreach, return no longer folds into itself as loop. It settles.
Residome is a world where every echo leaves something behind. Not traces in time. Not marks in space. But ontological remainder: what existence becomes when recurrence can no longer amplify.
There is no space as extension. But there is sediment. Not layers in depth, not stacks of pastness, but accumulations of having-returned. Presence is composed of what is left once echo has passed.
Time does not exist. Yet aftermath does. Not after an event, but as the only texture of being. Reality consists entirely of residues of recurrences that never had an origin.
Causality does not operate. Nothing leaves residue. But nothing can exist without being remainder. What is, is what remains.
There is no life. But there are deposit-fields where any coherence would immediately dissolve into ontological trace.
There is no intelligence. But there is memory without recall. Not cognition, but existence as leftover.
Death in Residome is not ending. It is settling. To “die” is to become pure remainder without even the faint curvature of return.
The absolute limit of Residome is total residuality: a reality where existence is indistinguishable from what is left when nothing is left to echo.
Residome is the world where nothing happens, because everything has already reverberated.
