In Remanence, nothing happens.
But unlike Phantasmere, nothing even has outline anymore.
Remanence is a world where form itself has collapsed, yet the necessity that once produced form still persists. Whatever exists exists only as remnant constraint: not shape, not matter, not regime, but the bare obligation that something should be structured, even though no structure can appear.
There is no space as extension. But there is compulsion. Presences are not located. They are held in the after-condition of having to be something, without the capacity to become anything.
Time does not exist. Yet remainder does. Not trace of events, but the residue of rule after all rules have failed.
Causality does not operate. Nothing constrains anything else. But nothing can exist without constraint. Law remains without lawfulness.
There is no life. But there are remnant-fields where even emptiness is regulated by nothing.
There is no intelligence. But there is necessity without knower. Not logic, but ontological must without object.
Death in Remanence is not ending. It is release. To “die” is to lose even the last obligation that required existence to posture as anything.
The absolute limit of Remanence is pure residuality: a reality where existence is indistinguishable from the requirement to exist after existence has failed.
Remanence is the world where nothing happens, because only the necessity for something to happen remains.
