World 2 — Remanence

In Remanence, nothing happens. But unlike Nullometry, not everything cancels. There are no events, no processes, no transitions. Nothing unfolds. Nothing develops. Nothing transforms. Yet when something is somehow present, it cannot entirely disappear. The defining feature of Remanence is not activity, but residue. Whatever is, leaves something behind, even though there is no mechanism by which it came to be. There is still no time. There is no sequence, no before or after. But there is asymmetry. Not between moments, but between presence and absence. Presence is never clean. Absence is never complete. Every attempt at nothing leaves a remainder that cannot be removed. Space does not exist as extension. But it exists as non-erasability gradients. Some regions, if the term can be forced, hold more remainder than others. Not because anything moved there, but because cancellation does not fully succeed. Nearness is not distance but similarity of leftover. Far is not far away, but differen...

World 1 — Nullometry

There are no events in Nullometry. Nothing begins, and nothing ends. There are no processes, no transformations, no transitions. What exists does not occur. It does not move, change, interact, or develop. It simply remains as an undifferentiated ontological remainder. Nullometry is not emptiness. Emptiness would already be something that could be contrasted with fullness. Nullometry has no contrasts. It is not a vacuum, because a vacuum is a condition defined relative to potential contents. Here, even potential is absent. There is no field of possibility waiting to be activated. There is only the fact of zero remaining zero. There is no space. Space would require distinction between here and there. In Nullometry there are no regions, because there are no differentiations. There is no distribution. There is no extension. There is not even a point, because a point would already be a localization. Nullometry is non-local not because it is everywhere, but because “where” cannot arise. Ther...
